Key Features
  • Full facepiece CBRN protective mask
  • Single screw on filter canister combines HEPA filter (which provides protection against radiological and biological particulates) and a charcoal filter (which provides protection against chemical weapon vapors)
Advantages
  • Protects respiratory tract, eyes, and mucous membranes
  • Can be worn continuously for 8 to 12 hours
Disadvantages
  • Fit testing required
  • Does not supply oxygen (cannot be used in low oxygen environments)
  • May only be used when air contaminant level is below the concentration limits of the filter (i.e., cannot be worn to enter environments immediately dangerous to life and health )

  • Offers 24 hours of protection

  • Does not supply oxygen (cannot be used in low oxygen environments)
  • May only be used when air contaminant level is below the concentration limits of the filter (i.e., cannot be worn to enter environments immediately dangerous to life and health )
